Hello, I'm Laura.
I live in Miami with my son, my partner, and our high-energy dog, Peach. I bought my condo back in 2004 and, like a lot of first-time homeowners, I barely knew what I was getting into. At the time, I remember wishing there were clearer ways to understand what risks existed, what costs lay ahead, and whether the association was in good shape. I joined our condo board during a stretch that included a hurricane, a pandemic, an insurance fight, a catastrophe that reshaped the condo laws, a 40-year recertification, a lawsuit with a contractor, and eventually, a building sale. Throughout it all, I kept wishing there were better tools to help us navigate the compliance process and stay on top of ever-changing rules.
I started Domexa Labs, along with my partners, to help other owners and board members feel better informed, more equipped, and less alone.
Our Story
Domexa Labs was born from a shared vision to make condo life more manageable, transparent, and secure. As a lawyer and technologist, I had long seen the gaps in governance and compliance. During my tenure as a condo board member, I met Domexa Lab co-founder Adam Cohen, a real estate veteran and Florida native. Our friendship grew through our time serving on the condo board together, where we experienced firsthand just how overwhelming and high-stakes the job could be. What started as a conversation between friends turned into a mission-driven company. With the help of our other partners and advisors, we created Domexa Labs to build the tools we wish we’d had all along.
